Metal Stamps Canadian Buyers Should Check

A stamp inside a shank is small. Photos can lie about it. Avaiya Gems tells you the metal in the listing when we have it: yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, platinum, and the fineness if it is on file.

Canadian buyers often ask whether 14k sold in the US is “real gold.” Fineness is a number (for example 14k / 585). It is not a country. Read the metal guide for how different alloys wear, then look at the product field.

White gold may be rhodium plated. That plating wears. We say so in the metal guide rather than calling white gold “permanently white.” Platinum does not need that plate. Choose with the climate and the job of the ring in mind, not with a colour filter on Instagram.
