A jeweller in Sydney or Melbourne will usually say “L ½” or “N ½,” not “6.” Our chart has a UK / Australia column for that reason. Match the letter. Do not invent a conversion from memory.

Millimetres beat both systems. Inside diameter across the centre of a ring that already fits the intended finger is the measurement we prefer. Photograph it on a ruler, square to the camera, and send it to sales@avaiyagems.com.

Heat changes Australian fingers the same way it changes others. Measure after a normal day, not after sport and not first thing on a cold air-conditioned morning. Wide bands feel smaller than thin bands at the same letter.
